USA (MNN) – Have you listened to the Unconventional Ministry podcast yet?
SAT-7, a satellite TV ministry to the Middle East and North Africa, recently launched the podcast to bring together unconventional ministry ideas.
The podcast is a space for ministry and church leaders to share the unique and creative methods they are using to make God’s love visible. But, it is also an opportunity to learn new ways to extend God’s grace.
Unconventional Ministry Podcast
New episodes are released every Tuesday morning and are available on iTunes, Podbean, Google Play, and Soundcloud.
Unconventional Ministry has already caught up with other Mission Network News partners like Keys for Kids. Listen to Greg Yoder, Keys for Kids Executive Director, share about his unique work here.
After just a dozen podcast releases, SAT-7 is already seeing the ripple of change. SAT-7 USA’s Vice President for Ministry Partnerships Dennis Wiens says a guest on the podcast was excited to learn new ideas from the podcast and then implement some at her church. But, for this particular guest’s unique ministry, her church has the vision to transform their zip code.
“They did health care for the marginalized and uninsured and homeless. Fifty-some churches in their zip code joined in…. I think others really enjoyed that podcast and that idea that a church could transform their zip code,” Wiens says.
The podcast is also spreading the word about SAT-7, which Wiens calls one of the best-kept secrets in ministry.
“It’s a win-win. We can give out the information of unique and creative models in the local Church as well as [the] local Church learning about SAT-7, which is a unique and creative model,” Wiens says.
New Episode, Get Involved
Today, Unconventional Ministry releases an interview with Judy Douglas from Cru.
“Cru is one of our partners in the Middle East and [is] very significant [in] how they help the countries that we reach as a broadcast ministry,” Wiens says. “Judy is talking about the ministry of Cru and I think…she’s going to talk a little bit about her new book she just wrote.”
