Uganda (MNN) — There's one down, two to go in Uganda.
Orphan's Heart and Hines Ugandan Ministries just finished building a home for orphan girls. Now they can start working on the school, says Julie Boyd of Orphan's Heart.
"We hope by providing good education from a Christian perspective that it'll raise the standard of living for the people there," Boyd says.
A project like this doesn't get very far without some help, though.
"We need sponsors, and we need people who can help us with these school supplies," states Boyd. "They (listeners) can find out where to send them if they'll go on our website."

In August, Boyd is leading a trip to Uganda focused on helping this project.
"We're going to focus on education," says Boyd. "I think the children are going to be on a break from school, so we'll be doing some special stuff with them."
While the August trip is closed, Boyd says another group will be going later in the fall. Click here to see if you can go too.
Boyd says sponsorship is another important way you can help kids in Uganda.
"We're always trying to get people here in the States to become sponsors of the children, because education is expensive, and those who do go on to university need help," she explains.
Please pray for more sponsors to surround these kids with support. Pray students find new life through the school.
"They lose hope so quickly, and they feel like there's no way to improve their lives. And so, first of all, we want to give them the hope of Jesus Christ and knowing Him."
