Yeman (MNN) — A Muslim militant was executed in connection to the December 2002 murders of three medical workers from the Southern Baptist International Mission Board in Yemen.
According to the Baptist Press, Ali al-Jarallah was convicted and sentenced to death in 2003 for plotting the medical workers’ deaths and for the assassination of a prominent national politician.
Kamal, who was also convicted and sentenced to death, remains in prison. No execution date has been set.
Yemeni officials believe the pair were tied to the al Qaeda terrorist network.
