We get another report on Christian outreach from Siberia.

By January 14, 2004

Russia (MNN)–Siberia is known for frigid cold and heavy snows in winter.

Mission Network News’ Greg Yoder is traveling there this week and files this report on an interesting ministry. “It was all part of Russian Ministries’ supported expedition, taking the Gospel all over Russia in nine months. While their 4 x 4’s were being shipped by train because of impassible roads, the team found other ways to get to the village of Harsaim and the Khanti people. 100 young people listened to Christian music, Christian stories, and received a gift from ‘Operation Christmas Child’. Peter Mitskevitch is the vice president of the Union of Evangelical Baptists, and serves on the OCC national board. “This is [a] great opportunity to share about Christ, to talk about special gift that God gave us in Jesus Christ. Gifts always will open many hearts, they want to ask questions.” Pray that many will eventually come to Christ and that a church will be planted here. Greg Yoder, Mission Network News, Harsaim, Russia.”
