Belarus (MNN) — Belarus shares land borders with Russia and Ukraine, and they’ve sided with Russia in the conflict. Belarusians face worsening economic conditions as a result of Western sanctions. But it won’t stop Trans World Radio contacts from sharing the hope of Christ.
Believers recently gave dozens of handheld radios to people in vulnerable situations. “They distribute them in children’s homes, orphanages, rehab centers for senior citizens; even in prisons,” Frank Stephenson with TWR Europe says.
“These are situations where it’s easy to be hopeless. We want to speak hope to Belarus and have them come to know the living God.”
The radios come preloaded with Christ-centered content, including 40 new programs produced by the team in May.
“These radios have SD cards, almost like a USB connection. You put them into the radio and listen to it,” Stephenson says.
Pray God will use TWR programming to soften hearts in Belarus and give them the hope only Christ can offer. Join our email list to receive updates like these and more.
“We’re often so busy, but I think it’s important to know what’s happening in the world and inform ourselves. It gives us a bigger perspective, a wider perspective, of Kingdom work and where our role is,” Stephenson says.
“We’re all called to be part of the Great Commission, and we can do it in so many different ways.”
Help TWR and its partners continue speaking hope to this region of Eastern Europe.
