West Africa (MNN)–Church leaders and West African government leaders are asking for the Book of Hope. Islamic countries are aggressively reaching out in West Africa, building schools and offering aid.
The activity has concerned ministers of education who say unless something is done to counteract Muslim teaching, Islam could become the dominant force in the region. Already Islamic fundamentalists have been able to take over some city governments, so time is of the essence.
There is even some evidence that countries such as Libya could be supplying funds in an effort to control the nations of West Africa.
Please pray that funds will be available to begin distribution in the nations of Sierra Leone and Nigeria in 2004. Also pray that the translation of the Book of Hope can be completed for those nations which do not currently have the book, and that internal infrastructure for distribution can be established.
