(USA)–And finally, despite economic stresses and international political tensions, Food for the Poor is helping more people this year than they did last year. Food for the Poor officials say since January 1st, they’ve shipped nearly 158-million dollars worth of goods and services to the Caribbean and Central America. That’s a 30-percent increase over the same period last year. Food for the Poor focuses on the basic Christian principle of caring for the poor.
