(El Salvador)–Elsewhere, the Southern Baptist International Mission Board continues their relief work in El Salvador. Following a devastating earthquake January 13th, the countryside was left in ruins. Jennifer Capshaw works with the IMB’s human needs department. She explains how they’re helping in the aftermath. “We will be sending four teams throughout the month that will focus on cleanup efforts, along with just mudding out the houses, getting them set up and we’re going to continue the food distribution as well as our feeding program. We’re also going to be looking at helping the local school and getting them restocked on supplies.” Capshaw adds that through this effort, the hope of the Gospel can be shared. “We’re coming down there to help them out and help them rebuild their lives. Through that caring, and giving of someone’s time and money and their heart, people see that Christians care. Through those opportunities of just being with them day in and day out, we have opportunities just to share with them of God’s love.”
