Next, scripture is the key to evangelism in the 21st Century. That’s what 10-thousand evangelists and lay leaders at Amsterdam 2000 in the Netherlands will hear next week. International Bible Society’s Tom Youngblood says IBS will present a workshop on that subject. “The title of the workshop is The Role of Scripture in Evangelism. BGEA wanted that workshop done in a number of different languages. And, so, International Bible Society Leadership will be doing six workshops. All of the workshops will be the same subject, but will reflect different areas of the world.” Youngblood says IBS will also provide participants with the word of God. “As evangelists, as preachers of the Gospel, they don’t have Bibles. So, we have shipped nearly 8,000 Bibles in a lot of different languages.” The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association sponsors Amsterdam 2000 and it begins July 29th.
