(Nicaragua)–In Nicaragua, Worldwide Christian Schools recently opened a new school in partnership with the Christian Reformed Church and its World Relief Committee. Worldwide’s Steve Geurink says they’re now working in Tipitapa, located near the country’s capitol city. He explains why they felt it necessary to work in this area. “This is a result of Hurricane Mitch. A whole group of people was transplanted to this new, higher piece of ground, and we had the privilege of building the first Christian school there, in that area.” Geurink says they are looking for help because: “Nicaragua is the newest field for Worldwide Christian Schools. We will be building a series of schools there over the next few years and we are just looking for prayer support as we move into this new field and see the fruits of God’s faithfulness.”
