Christian television programming is now being viewed all over Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. CBN World Reach is now beaming the 700 Club into these areas via satellite. Vice President of CBN World Reach Ben Edwards. “What we’re doing now, and this is the first time we’ve ever done this, is taking that daily program, repackaging it somewhat and then feeding it on Telestar 11 on a transponder to Europe where it’s being picked up by several different distribution channels.” Edwards says the English program is getting good response. He’s hoping many come to Christ because of the program. “I really believe in media as a form of evangelism because you do get info people’s homes and particularly people that might not search out someone to talk to them about Christ, or might not ever go into a church.” Edwards says they’re working with local churches to help with follow up.
