(USA)–A major effort is under way to reach the lost in the United States. The Luis Palau Evangelistic Association will be launching Mission Connecticut. Events are being planned for May and June primarily, but according to Scott Dawson they had an event over the weekend in Rhode Island. “The first night we were on the campus of the University of Rhode Island. We dealt with a lot of college students and also with a lot of business community individuals. We saw a great number of people come out. The churches gathered together and we saw a great harvest for the Lord.” Dawson says this is just the first of several music festivals that will be held in New England to point people to Christ. “Bringing a festival or a crusade atmosphere to a city brings a God consciousness to the community. It brings the body of Christ together. There’s a major prayer support network going on. And, it’s just one way of the church saying Jesus Christ had changed our life and he can change your life.”
