Headlining today’s news, major step in the search for credible information regarding the fate kidnapped missionaries Mark Rich, Dave Mankins, and Rick Tenenoff has been uncovered. New Tribes Mission’s Scott Ross. “We received information out of Colombia that a fellow had been arrested by the Colombian national police. This guy Jose Urrego Medina, at the time that our men were kidnapped was second in command of the 57th front. The 57th front was the group we know was involved in the kidnapping.” Colombian Guerrillas kidnapped the three men in January, 1993. Ross says this is a huge step in finding out the fate of the three men. “This guy that we believe knows absolutely what these circumstances are in the fate of our men. The tricky part now will be figuring out how in the world we’re going to get him to give us information. You know the Colombians are gonna be charging him with several crimes and any information he gives will be to his detriment.”
