(Philippines)–The Philippines tops our news today. Two rumors are circulating around the kidnapped New Tribes Missionaries, Martin and Gracia Burnham. New Tribes’ Scott Ross says there is a letter purported to be from the Burnham in the Philippine media. There is also a report that indicates the couple was released from captivity. However, Ross debunks those stories. “The Philippine military, they’re absolutely denying it; the U-S Embassy knows nothing about it. Our contacts don’t know anything about it. They believe that it’s not true at all. We really can’t confirm whether there is a letter, and what the contents are, we really don’t know until we get our hands on it. We’re hoping to be able to work back through the channels are that are releasing that information to see if we can get a copy of it.” Ross asks people to pray. “We would see this end very quickly; safely. Also, be praying for the parents of the Burnhams, and also the three kids, when they hear these stories, that they can just stay calm until we know if things are right or wrong and what is happening.”
