Short-termers work alongside long-termers for great effectiveness.

Mozambique (MNN) — The impact of short-term mission teams cannot be underestimated.

That’s especially true for WorldVenture in Mozambique, where they’ve seen a significant influx of short-termers in recent years. Short-term trips are part of WorldVenture’s core values and strategic approach to ministry, and due to that, interest continues to grow in short-term opportunities.

The WorldVenture ongoing work is based in Maputo, the capital city which is located in the southern tip of the coastal country. The short-term teams serve alongside long-term workers to support the ongoing work of training, church planting, evangelism, and relief and development ministries.

WorldVenture’s passion is to develop relationships with churches, who will then grow a passion for Mozambique which will spread contagiously within those sending churches.

One WorldVenture partner says that Mozambique is uniquely open to the Gospel right now.

Looking to the future, WorldVenture has acknowledged a need as trips continue. They’ve established a support project to raise funds for a short-term team vehicle that will help manage the volume of short-term trips coming and going. Transporting people in and around Mozambique is a challenge, and they need proper transportation in order to do that well.

Pray that God would continue raising up effective ministers of the Gospel in Mozambique. If you would like to give to the vehicle fund or for information on going on a short-term trip with WorldVenture, contact them through their information listed here.
