Refugees, Frontiers, and your summer

Middle East (MNN/Frontiers) — It’s only a few weeks into 2016, and yet, according to UNHCR, over 80,000 refugees have made the dangerous trip into Europe by boat.

What some may know is many of these refugees fleeing to Europe are Muslim. And Frontiers, a ministry to Muslims, wants to help refugees before they make the trek to Europe.

This summer, Frontiers will be leading some trips to various areas in the Middle East to serve and teach English while sharing the incredible hope of Christ through the Gospel.

Here are the trips:

Immersive Muslim Cultural Exchange
Location: Turkey or Egypt
Time Length: 3 weeks
Dates: Unavailable
Description: Participants on these introductory 3-week exposure trips will experience things such as living with local families and prayer walking through villages. You also get to visit historic sites and learn about the culture ad traditions of a predominantly Muslim country.

Assist Refugees
Location: Middle East
Time Length: 8-12 weeks
Dates: Unavailable
Description: An ideal trip for servant-hearted and flexible individuals who desire to serve refugees, learn their language and culture, an discover opportunities for long-term missions. Candidates for this trip should be fairly independent and have a desire to learn Arabic.

Teaching English
Location: Arab gulf
Time length: 6 weeks
Dates: July 7-August 18
Description: Experience Muslim culture while teaching English language classes to students ages 12-18. Cross-cultural interns will teach conversational English for 2-4 hours a day, take Arabic classes with native speakers, and build friendships in the local community.
