Iran (MNN) — Many Christians have to leave Iran, forced from their homeland by severe persecution. Many flee to Turkey, or even farther unto Europe to be able to practice freely as a Christian. Read some personal stories collected by SAT-7 here.
Joe Willey of SAT-7 USA says, “Often, they can’t speak the language of the new country, and they will not be able to get jobs. They will face severe financial problems. And they even may face deportation, which is a growing concern among refugees from other countries throughout the region.”
SAT-7 PARS
SAT-7 PARS recently talked about these believers on the show Signal. Willey talks about the show. “It’s a live 90-minute call-in program that airs on SAT-7 PARS. The show is connecting isolated Christians in Iran and Farsi-speaking Christians around the world. Each episode includes videos and presentations focused on relevant issues to viewers in Iran.” For some Christians who leave Iran, SAT-7 is their only source of Christian community.
It’s not an easy decision to leave family and home behind in Iran or to stay and face persecution. Ask God to strengthen both. “And also pray that their faith would show others how steadfast believers are when they are placing their hope in Jesus Christ. Because those believers are often so instrumental to show others the truth of Christianity.”
