One millionth visitor on OM ship

By December 21, 2007

Philippines (MNN) — Operation Mobilization is seeing its 2007 ministry come to a close and looking for expanded ministry in the year ahead. This month, one of their ships reached an incredible milestone.

While ministering in the Philippines, Fritzie Nabalitan became the one-millionth visitor on the ship. She arrived with her family and was immediately greeted by the Doulos Captain. Wearing a special sash reading "One Million in 2007," Fritzie received a tour of the ship and  a voucher to use in the book fair.

The milestone figure gave crew cause to thank God for how He uses the ministry to bless people and also to pray for all those before Fritzie that stepped on board in 2007.

The goal of the ship's ministry is to bring knowledge, help, and hope to the people of the world through Christian literature, providing relief, cross-culture awareness, and the training of young people. OM Ships travel the world with the Gospel, visiting over 450 ports in 150 countries.

Pray for the newest vessel, the Logos Hope. Also pray for the 129 new crew members to the ship's ministry. The figure is unusually high for the time of year. The group contains more males than females. Furthermore, several nationalities rarely represented on board will be joining, including Turkish, Croatian and Thai–all of which are an answer to prayer.
