USA (MNN) — This weekend, Mission Aviation Fellowship is celebrating a strategic ministry move.
They’re inviting all MAF friends to join them for a huge dedication celebration for the new MAF Training and Mobilization Headquarters in Nampa, Idaho, just outside Boise. The celebration takes place all day on Saturday, September 23, 2006.
MAF made the move from Redlands, California, this summer to help cut overhead expenses and enable new ministry programs overseas. MAF anticipates a savings of between $800,000 to $1-million a year.
This year MAF is also celebrating 60 years of transforming lives and overcoming barriers to the Gospel through aviation and technology.
The celebration on Saturday includes welcoming aviators to fly-in, aviation seminars for the techies among us, a book signing with Claire Mellis coinciding with the release of her updated classic, More Than a Pilot, tours of the new headquarters and hangar, interactive booths, radio personalities broadcasting from MAF, and much more.
Many MAF friends will be there, including veteran MAF pilots and exciting guest speakers. Planes from all over the U.S. will fly in for this historic event … a prelude to the next 60 years.
