USA (MNN) — The coffee obsessed will be relieved to discover their habits can be used for good — even for the growth of the Kingdom.

The Christian Reformed World Relief Committee encourages coffee drinkers to take a stand in social justice by purchasing Brew Justice coffee. The coffee, which comes from Higher Grounds Trading Co., supports poor farmers by offering them fair wages for their coffee product.

CRWRC uses fair trade as a way to reach out to communities for Christ. According to their Web site, "[their] goal is complete community transformation to build up the Kingdom of God on earth." This transformation comes by turning around whole communities in Christ's name.

One way to do so is by supporting local farmers and giving them the wages they deserve, displaying the love of Christ by showing concern for the well-being of their families.

Brew Justice is described as "a robust blend of Mexican medium and dark roasts, with a rich, full body and lasting flavor." CRWRC hopes that believers will buy the product for their churches or related events. Although the cost may be a bit more than usual, the benefits are also far greater.

A portion of the proceeds will go to support the Christian Reformed Church so that they can continue their work in poor communities. Most of the proceeds go to the farmers who supplied it.

Currently, Brew Justice can only be purchased in the United States. To purchase fair trade coffee for your church or event, click here and learn more.
