Paraguay (MNN) — Seven years of hard work is paying off. The completed Achè New Testament of Paraguay is now at the printers.
The Wycliffe Bible Translators hope that the finished books will be in the hand of the people by 2013. Work toward translating the Old Testament has already begun, with hopes to finish it sometime in 2014.
Latins in Translation and Literacy of Paraguay (LETRA) has sponsored several Scripture memorization campaigns and contests to prompt the use of God's Word among the community.
Pray for the printing and binding of the Achè New Testament, that everything will go smoothly. Ask God to prepare the hearts and minds of the Achè people, as His word is distributed to them. Pray for the translation team as they begin to translate the Old Testament.
