USA (MNN) — The International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church is coming November 9. Held annually on the second Sunday of November, IDOP is a global day of intercession for persecuted Christians worldwide. It's a time where Christians pray for the souls of the oppressors, the nations that promote persecution, and those who ignore it. IDOP is a rallying point for Christians across all denominations to stand behind those who suffer for their faith.
Open Doors USA believes prayer changes lives.
That's why this year, Open Doors USA is making available a resource kit that will help you and your church commemorate IDOP, the largest global prayer day of its kind. This free resource includes everything you'll need to help inform and guide your congregation in praying for persecuted Christians on November 9th.
The kit includes an inspiring six-minute video presentation, educational fact sheets on the persecuted church, practical and simple activities that will prepare your congregation for prayer, bulletin inserts profiling the moving stories of persecuted Christians, and powerpoint graphics to instruct and inspire your congregation.
Special instructions will also be included explaining an innovative way to use cell phones to supply God's Word to the persecuted.
