USA (MNN) — A plastic bag isn’t much use to most people, but for someone who is homeless it’s a valuable resource that gives some protection against harsh winter weather.
The USA’s been hit quite hard this winter, but none have felt it more than the homeless. They fight to stay warm against the freezing temperatures, often with no relief.
The ministry of Here’s Life Inner City is putting compassion into action by distributing Homeless Care Kits in cities throughout the U-S. Here’s Life partners with churches and neighborhood ministries to distribute these care kits, and people’s lives are being impacted.
Each kit costs $33 (USD) and contains warm gloves, hat and scarf, thermal socks, a thick wool blanket, toiletries and personal care items, and “The Four Spiritual Laws” booklet. The packets are hand-delivered by caring Christians whose compassion to meet the physical needs opens doors to share Christ and meet the deeper spiritual needs.
