Costa Rica (MNN)–Operation Mobilization’s Costa Rica office was completely destroyed by fire in late May.
The flames destroyed personal belongings, office equipment and files covering many years of work. Investigations revealed that the fire was partly caused by human error and the team now faces severe financial repercussions.
The owners, who are local Christians, had no insurance. The search is now on for provisional offices and plans for the summer have to be completely re-evaluated.
Pray for the team members. They are reporting a good deal of discouragement. OM Costa Rica representative, Darrel Grasman conveyed his feelings like this: “Many of us have been through trial and sacrifice to build the office team and ministry and then to have so much destroyed in less than an hour which will take time to rebuild.”
Pray for the Lord’s encouragement and wisdom as they look to rebuild this ministry for the future.
