International
(SAT7/MNN) — The Board of Directors of SAT-7 USA announces the departure
of Mr. Paul Dilcher as Executive Director. The Board of Directors
appreciates all of his work during this past year and wishes him success in his
future endeavors.
The
Board responded to Mr. Dilcher's departure by appointing Dr. Rex M. Rogers as
the Interim Executive Director of SAT-7, effective immediately.
As a Vice
President of The Timothy Group (a consulting firm based in Grand Rapids, MI), Dr.
Rogers brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the organization.
Prior to joining The Timothy Group in 2008, Dr. Rogers served for sixteen years
as the President of Cornerstone University (Grand Rapids, MI), comprising an undergraduate
and adult program, two seminaries, and an international radio ministry
including Mission Network News. He is experienced in leadership team building,
board development, fundraising, and strategic planning.
In
addition to taking on the day-to-day leadership of the organization, Dr. Rogers
will be working in tandem with colleagues from The Timothy Group to conduct a
strategic assessment of the organizational structure and on-going operations of
SAT-7 USA to determine what, if any, organizational restructuring may be needed
to better enable the organization to achieve its long-term goals.
Upon
completion of these strategic initiatives, this Transition Team will initiate a
process to identify and hire a new permanent Executive Director later in 2009.
SAT-7 USA
is committed to furthering communication among its staff and supporting
constituency.
The organization will maintain all services and normal operations
during this transitional strategic review and the subsequent search for a new
executive director. In no way do these changes alter the commitment of SAT-7
USA to undertake a significant expansion and enhancement of SAT-7's critical
international ministries.
Pray for this process of transition and the search for a permanent Executive Director.
