A call goes out for teachers

By June 8, 2007

International (MNN) — Wycliffe Associates is putting out the call for educators in an effort to make sure they're ready for the international 2007-2008 school year. They currently have more than 300 requests for educators.

There are urgent needs for teachers in literally every discipline and for every age group. For example, teachers are needed for science in Tanzania, a primary school principal in Papua New Guinea, and certified ESL English teachers for mainland Southeast Asia. Grace International School in Chiang Mai, Thailand, reports a need for 31 teachers and staff members.
The #1 reason families leave the mission field is due to a lack of educational resources available for their children. By meeting the educational needs of the children of missionaries,  the teachers and schools are enabling hundreds of missionaries to sustain their ministries. .

As Wycliffe Associates continues to advance Bible translation, it is clear they need to make children's education a high priority. That means recruiting teachers and administrators for key positions around the world.

Pray for God's provision of school teachers to serve the children of Bible translators. The experience and certification requirements vary for each location. If you or someone you know could help meet any of these needs, click here.
