A studio dedication provides energy to Mozambique ministry

Mozambique (MNN) — On Sunday, a packed house marked the dedication of the new Crown of Victory recording studios in Mozambique.

It's the culmination of a 7-year-old partnership with Audio Scripture Ministries and a 2-year building project.

Early in the collaboration, it became obvious new studios were needed as Crown of Victory took on more projects. They were bursting the seams in their old space on the 3rd floor of a Bible College near Xai-Xai.

ASM asked God to provide a facility that would give this outreach room to function and grow. Hiccups came through the project, as well as a hurricane, but the studios were finished on schedule–a fact that was celebrated by the whole community on September 30.

Even as the paper chains and streamers were taken down, the new facilities were already in use. By Tuesday, the ASM team and some of their guests had already done the first official distribution of the audio Shangaana New Testament in the Xai Xai area.

Engineers are getting ready for their inaugural project, too. They're getting ready to record a recent translation of the book of Luke in the Chwabo language. Pray that the bugs would be worked out and this recording would go smoothly.

Studio staff are loading audio Bibles for a large distribution among the Kimwani people in the North of Mozambique in the next few weeks. The Kimwani people are considered an unreached people group despite many efforts that have been made to reach them.

Pray that the Lord would continue preparing the hearts of those who will receive these audio Bibles.
