Zambia (MNN) — Teen Missions International reports growth from their Dola Hills Orphan Rescue Unit in Zambia.
The team now has 416 children registered for help. One of the girls they're helping, named Memory, was rescued from a father who was trying to prostitute her.
According to the team, her mother died when she was four years old. Memory has since been living with her father. She is now a teenager, and her father has married three wives and wanted Memory to get married and get out of his home or provide some income to support his alcoholism. The options for a young girl getting a safe job aren't attractive.
TMI started helping Memory, eventually getting her into school where she is doing very well. Pray for the girls who are going through this with no one to help them.
TMI provides a loving Christian home atmosphere, along with Bible training and practical vocational training for the future. Please pray that the hope of Christ flourishes.
