Ghana (MNN)–Oasis International’s Sue Brennan is headed to their vocational training institute in Prampram, Ghana this week.
There, she not only assists in administration, but she also teaches office management and clerical courses. Brennan says the skills they teach not only help the community, but they also help the future of evangelistic work. “It’s helping the pastors to be able to grow themselves because they’re very young pastors, some of them, and they need training themselves, helping them to get enough solid foundation to be able to give back to their churches, and teach it to their people, as well.”
That’s what drives Oasis founder, Bishop Elvina Miller’s vision. Brennan says it’s their mission to do Bible training and vocational training: “…to help leaders as much as [Miller] can help them and she knows she’s not able to go out and teach everyone. But as she teaches the leaders, they can, in turn, go to teach their congregations.”
Many of these church leaders need financial help to finish their training. Contact Oasis through their information listed here if you want to help provide scholarship help for a pastor.
