USA (MNN) — 200-million Christians are suffering for their faith in more than 60 nations around the world. And, for the 3rd straight year, Mission Network News will be remembering them on an international broadcast special.
The Mission Network News International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church Radio Broadcast will air on more than 350 radio stations in five countries. This year’s broadcast, hosted by MNN’s Executive Director Greg Yoder and Producer Ruth Bliss, will feature a challenging message from founder of Open Doors and author of God’s Smuggler, Brother Andrew. We’ll also have believers from the Middle East, Ukraine, Sudan, and India praying for fellow believers who are jailed, beaten and even killed for their faith in Christ. Plus, music from Discovery House Music’s Celtic Cry – A Heart of a Martyr.
Yoder says, “I’m praying this broadcast will be something that will not only help Christians in the free world understand what’s happening in the world, but that they’ll also understand their need to be involved.” He adds, “James tells us that we need to be doers of the word and not hearers only. I hope Christians, especially in the U-S, will get that message and do something.
