A ministry reaches out to boost education in the Philippines.

Philippines (MNN)–A recent report reveals that students who graduate from public schools in the Philippines will likely never have the opportunity to learn computers.

Statistics show there is only one computer to every 26,000 elementary school students and one to every 111 high school students in the country.

This is where sponsored mini-libraries, set up by the IN Network Child Assistance Program, are meaningful. There, not only do children have access to the books they use in school, but they can also use a computer.

All the coordinators who already have mini-libraries report that the students have improved in their grades because of their new study habits.

The access to the right tools helps them attain full potential, nurtured by those who are sharing the love of Christ.

In addition to this outreach, there are many other projects in the Philippines. Overall, the team hopes to see five new church planters and 20 outreach workers a year to be commissioned into the field.

The IN Philippines’ goal is to plant 400 churches by 2006, thus enlarging God’s mission in the new millenium.
