Mexico (MNN)–Two Bible League-affiliated thrift centers in Holland, Michigan, have raised three million dollars to send God’s Word to Mexico.
With the help of about 150 volunteers, a steady supply of donated items, and faithful customers, the two Bibles for Missions Thrift Centers have now raised well over $300,000 a year. The funds brought in by the Holland thrift centers have provided more than two million New Testaments to Christians in Mexico since 1993.
But they’re not alone. The Bibles for Missions Thrift Centers are part of a 12-store network in the United States. All sell used clothing, furniture, antiques, and other household goods.
For the last 12 years, the combined stores have contributed enough profits to place 10 million Bibles and New Testaments in areas where the Bible League has ministry. That includes Bulgaria, China, Colombia, Ecuador, Indonesia, Kenya, Nigeria, the Philippines, and Ukraine.
The centers provide a huge support to the work of the Bible League. The League’s vision is to provide Bibles, Bible study materials, evangelism and discipleship programs, and training to local churches worldwide. In so doing, the Bible League prepares children and adults for a closer walk with God, and encourages them to share their faith with others.
