International (MNN)– Hunger is more deadly than AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis combined.
Every day, 24-thousand people die from hunger and hunger-related causes. To raise awareness against the world’s number-one killer, World Hunger Day is slated for September 22nd.
Food For the Hungry joins hundreds of others in a call to action called “United Against Hunger”. They’re encouraging believers to find ways to get involved.
Suggestions include making a donation to FFH, sponsoring a child, adopting an overseas community, or getting the local church involved in a local outreach. Detailed suggestions can be found at: www.fh.org.
For FFH, it is all about understanding that one person can change another life, then doing something about it, a thrilling way to demonstrate God’s love.
