Tibetan Monks turning to Christ

Tibet (MNN) —Far East Broadcasting Company is broadcasting the gospel via radio into areas that can’t be penetrated by the traditional missionary.

FEBC’s work into the Tibetan world is seeing progress. They began broadcasting evangelistic programs to Kham speakers in Tibet in August 2003. This is one of three dialects spoken by Tibetans in the region. Recently, FEBC received word that a Buddhist priest has come to Christ after listening to the programs.

FEBC’s Gregg Harris is praising God that their programs in this language are having an impact in this Buddhist stronghold.

Tibet is home to 2.5 million people, most of which claim Buddhism as their religion. According to Operation World there are less than 10,000 Christians.
