(USA)–Meanwhile, research is indicating the terrorist attack on the United States did little to turn Americans to God since that tragic day. According to Barna Research, nine out of 10 Americans say the attacks have had no lasting impact on their faith. Insight For Living’s Rolla Goodyear isn’t surprised. “That was an event that, yes, changed history and yes was tragic. But, that’s not what’s going to change not what’s going to change people’s lives. Honestly, it’s not a person’s faith that gets them through, it’s God who gets them through. It’s not what we do, it’s what God does for us. And, until we have that relationship with him people don’t change.” Goodyear says while the research isn’t great news, it’s not totally bad. “In light of Barna’s study, it says nine out of 10 went back to the way they were before 9-11, but one out of 10 did have a life changing event. So, the numbers may not be real promising, but if one life it changed that’s significant.”
