(Zimbabwe)–Next, political instability, deepening food shortages, and increasing violence surround Zimbabwe’s elections, yet pockets of unexpected peace are evident. At two recent JESUS film showings, a Zimbabwean woman with no legs below her knee walked eight hours with her child on her back to see the films. Despite this woman’s handicap, she now walks five hours with her child on her back every Sunday to attend church as she grows in her Christian faith.
