(USA)–Meanwhile, Christian musicians are taking an active roll in encouraging young people towards ministry in the United States. President of Habitat for Humanity, Millard Fuller, says the Christian Grammy-nominated singing group, ‘Third Day’, is partnering with them to build three homes in the United States and five homes overseas. Fuller says ‘Third Day’s’ participation is key to the future of their work. “Having a group like Third Day come on board and excite young people to get involved ensures this ministry is going to continue strong into the next generation.” Fuller says a portion of every ticket sold during ‘Third Day’s’ tour will go toward the building ministry. However, he says it’s more than just building homes. “Habitat for Humanity from the inception of this ministry has openly and unashamedly been a Christian program. In fact, we have always said that we are a new frontier in Christian missions. We are a creative an new way to share the love of Christ with people.” Habitat hopes to build its 200-thousandth home by 2005.
