(Philippines)–Meanwhile, New Tribes Mission’s contingency team was greatly encouraged by the outcome of a meeting between a U-S Congressman and the Philippine government. While few details were released, the talks were about kidnapped missionaries Martin and Gracia Burnham. There have also been some changes on Basilan Island involving the military movement. New Tribes officials will meet this week with the Congressman to find out what their next move will be. Pray for the safe release of the Burnhams, and other hostages.
