(India) — Headlining today’s news, India’s earthquake that killed thousands and left thousands more homeless is opening doors for the Gospel. That’s the word from Trans World Radio‘s Richard Greene. “Though there has been persecution in the past, Trans World Radio has an excellent relationship with the Government throughout India. In fact, they requested help from us. And so, God is going to use this in order to advance his kingdom and to build his church.” TWR’s India broadcasts have allowed them to establish an indigenous church planting ministry in India called Vishwa Vani. He says they have work in the earthquake zone. “We thank the Lord that all of our staff are safe. And, all of the churches that they’re involved with — their believers all survived this devastating quake.” The Vishwa Vani work is taking on a “basic” relief distribution role for the time being, distributing blankets and other supplies to the needy.
