We begin today in Sudan where the shelling in the South has intensified ever since Sudan lost a bid for a seat on the United Nations Security Council. Voice of the Martyrs’ Todd Nettleton. “There is definitely an element of religious persecution to it. Repeatedly, the targets have been civilian targets. We help to sponsor a hospital in cooperation with Norwegian People’s Aid, and that hospital has been bombed; schools have been bombed, and a displaced persons camp was bombed. So, it’s clearly attacks on civilian targets that don’t have any military significance.” Although the bombings have caused security concerns, Nettleton says that won’t stop their Christian outreach from the hospital. Further, Nettleton asks that people pray. “I think people can pray for their physical needs, the need for food, the need for shelter, clothing and so forth. But I think the more pressing need is for Christians there is to stand tall, and be different-to show the difference that Christ makes in their lives.”
