Meanwhile, the lack of leadership in the evangelical church in Romania is what’s stopping the incredible growth on the church in that country. International Needs’ David Culross says they’re starting a new training program. “We will be launching this program late this year. And, the concept is to identify key young Christians who can be mentored in both religious training and business principles so that they can be solid Christian leaders in whatever vocation God may call them to.” According to Culross the initial goal is to train up to 50 young people. When the training is completed he says this will assist them in their main objectives. “We are focusing, again, on evangelism and church planting as our first priority. And, instead of carrying this out in the cities where many of the people have gone, we’re carrying this out in the rural southern parts of Romania, down along the Danube River and near the Yugoslavia border.” While the country lack Christian leaders, the church is growing and many are coming to Christ.
