Pro-life ministry, LIFE International, champions “the Father’s heart for life”

By January 17, 2025

USA (MNN) — This Sunday, January 19 is Sanctity of Human Life Sunday, an annual observance in the United States, intended to elevate pro-life conversations and inspire action.

Kurt Dillinger, founder and president of LIFE International, explains the heart behind their pro-life mission: “We make known the Father’s heart for life with church leaders all over the globe. So that’s where it all originated many years ago, back in the late 90s, when the Lord just really captured my heart on this issue.”

Reflecting on his personal journey, Dillinger recalls how the Lord changed his understanding of biblical pro-life ministry. Cultures around the world continue to devalue human life in a variety of ways. Abortion is the leading cause of death globally, killing 73 million preborn babies in 2024 alone.

Yet, Dillinger explains, “This issue really is not about stopping abortion, even though that’s a very noble cause. And it’s really not about rights of people, of women, and it’s really not even about saving the life of the preborn — even though all those things are vitally important.

“What He (God) was saying to me is, ‘This is an attack on Me. This is an attack on your Father in Heaven, and you don’t even know My heart on this issue.’ That broke me and it just ushered in this desire to do whatever I could to understand His heart. That’s essentially now what we do around the world!”

LIFE International hosts pro-life events for churches and Christian leaders, leads prayer initiatives, and offers personal coaching, online education, and a variety of resources.

The ministry also works with partners in 163 nations to support crisis pregnancy guidance, maternity homes, orphanages, child-feeding programs, and more. LIFE International aims to operate in every nation in the world someday.

“Our purpose in our ministry really is to uphold the biblical value of all human life worldwide,” says Dillinger. “With that comes a vision of wanting to see a world where people of all nations find their hope, find their healing in Jesus Christ, and fully embrace the Father’s heart for life in their nations.”

For those looking to participate in Sanctity of Human Life Sunday, Dillinger encourages engagement with LIFE International’s initiatives. “We offer trainings here at LIFE International. We call it ‘The journey of a life-giver.’ We’re all on a journey and we can grow in our understanding of the Father’s heart for life. Together, we can learn from each other.”
