As Syrian, Iraqi, and Afghan refugees pour onto the beaches of Lesbos, OM Greece and partner organizations offer water, essential items, and more importantly, hope.

Syria (MNN) — It’s been three and a half years since the conflict in Syria was declared a civil war.
In the time between, over 12 million people have been affected. About 75% of those people are women and children.
A little under half of these refugees live in hard-to-reach areas, making it more difficult for them to receive humanitarian aid.
Yet, it the midst of the refugee crisis, a lots of people have come together to help.
God has used organizations like Doctors Without Borders and World Food Programme to provide for refugees’ physical needs like food, basic supplies, and medical assistance.
While this is great, God uses His people to share the Gospel.
Operation Mobilization recognizes this, and they’re helping to nourish the soul.
The Christian Difference
In an article, OM said, ”A serious crisis like the Syrian Civil War calls for us to be there for the refugees and nurture relationships with them.”
And it’s exactly what OM is trying to do.
With OM, it’s not about just handing out food, some hygiene products, and a Bible. It’s is about the real, nitty gritty parts of the faith (James 2:14-17).
Instead of viewing this refugee crisis as another disaster, OM sees it as a HUGE opportunity to reach unsaved people with the Gospel–to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the most tangible ways.

Think about it. These refugees are coming out of Iraq and Syria, countries ranking #3 and #4 respectively on the Open Doors World Watch List.
The World Watch List (WWL) is a ranking of 50 countries where persecution of Christians for religious reasons is most severe.
Five years ago, the opportunity to share Christ with people who are now refugees was very slim. But now, the doors are open.
