Costa Rica(MNN)– Grace Ministries International recently held a ladies' retreat in Costa Rica. In spite of some problems, the retreat took place and those attending were touched by the topics that were addressed.
Joy Befus said there were some 30 ladies who attended. Six were not Christians, but one of them placed her faith in Christ at the retreat. Four others expressed interest and are being drawn to the Savior. Joy asks that we remember those ladies in prayer.
Joy is also praising the Lord for His protection when the brakes gave out on the van while they were driving to the retreat in a heavy rain storm. The first night also resulted in a power outage, and the evening service was canceled. In spite of this, Joy says, "Satan did not win. We had the most amazing spiritual time as we talked about peacemakers — working through conflict properly, first in the family and then in the church. We concluded with a wonderful prayer service. To God be all the glory and thanks."
