USA (MNN) – Book of Hope is touring the United States to bring young adults the hope of Christ.
Joining SHOUTfest, Book of Hope has already participated in a marathon weekend of concerts and evangelism. They traveled 2,200 miles through five states in only three days, but
their work was not in vain.
More than 17,000 Books of Hope were handed out to 26,000 people. During the three day period, approximately 290 people expressed faith in Christ for the first time.
SHOUTfest brings together more than 15 contemporary Christian bands for their one-day touring festival. Inspirational speakers and youth-targeted speakers challenge the teens and young adults who are the majority in attendance. There is plenty to do during the day besides
listen to music. At each location there are extreme games, a Battle of the Bands Talent Contest, carnival food, and worship times.
It's kind of a festival, church picnic and crusade all wrapped into one big event. Artists such as Jeremy Camp, Jars of Clay, Pillar and Everyday Sunday, among many others, are scheduled to perform.
With one weekend behind them, the Book of Hope USA field coordinator says, "No one could have asked for better weather or better crowds."
The first three cities were Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Johnson City, Tennessee; and Somerset, Kentucky.
There are still 17 more concert dates set for this fall. Click here to find one near you.
