USA (MNN) — College students around the world need internships in order to graduate. Perhaps you're in need of one, or maybe you know someone else who does. Today is a very important day because it's a deadline to be an intern with Orphan's Heart.
Howie Hooper with Orphan's Heart says, "We're looking for willing students who can give five weeks to serve the Lord…and impact the lives of children as you do that."
Hooper says you can get involved in three areas of the world. "One: in Guatemala where we work in a malnutrition center. Two: in Uganda we have an orphanage over there. And then Three: we also have opportunities to serve in Miami."
Orphan's Heart has more than 900 people who travel with them every year on short-term mission trips. They need people to help coordinate those teams.
Hooper says this is more than providing for the needs of the kids physically. "We are sharing God's love everywhere we go. What a wonderful opportunity for these young students to share their love and to be the light in a dark world."
The deadline to apply is TODAY. You can select either June or July for time in Guatemala. Uganda's interns can select either July or August. Interns can select any five-week time period for Miami.
