Tanzania (MNN) ― Grace Ministries International is asking for prayer for their 27 pastoral students in Tanzania. They just finished final exams in their second two-month module and will be home with their families for a break until early June, when the next module begins.
From those who finished the first cycle, 27 went on to study at a three-year Pastoral College in Mumba. GMI missionaries in Tanzania are involved with the Grace Church in Tanzania in evangelism, church planting, theological education, and community development.
The missionary team, Steve and Barb Sherman, work regularly with the Tanzania Grace Bible Institute. Steve trains the Tanzanian leadership in personal discipleship and is teaching classes on "stewardship" in the churches using the book he recently wrote.
His wife, Barb, also teaches at TGBI and serves as advisor to TGBI's Tanzanian school nurse.
The goal of TGBI is to train pastors and other leaders for the Grace Churches of Tanzania. It offers a three-year course in Bible, Theology, and Ministry for both the husbands and wives.
Please pray for the families of the teachers and students as they study the Word of God and train to be servants of the Lord in churches.
