Students in inner city ministry.

USA (MNN) ― Young people with the EFCA are gearing up for inner city outreach in the United States. The program is called, BUMP. Bump is a week-long urban mission experience for students.

BUMP stands for Bridging Urban Mission Project. It's a week long urban missions program that will be taking place in seven cities in the U-S including St. Louis, Chicago, Denver, Miami, New York and others.

BUMP empowers and serves alongside neighborhood Christians as they minister to the urban community through their local churches. It may mean helping churches with vacation Bible school, playing with kids, street carnivals, and much more.

According to participating pastors the program is very effective in reaching kids for Christ.

The experience has also been known to change the heart of those who are doing the ministry. It opens their eyes to intercultural ministry because the world is literally in the United States already and they don't have to leave the country to reach them with the Gospel.

Pray that many of the EFCA churches will see many to turn Christ. Pray also that those who participate will make outreach an everyday part of their lives.
