India (MNN) ― Global Advance's Marketplace Missions emphasis is sparking new Kingdom-minded business leaders in the Hyderabad and Vishak regions of India. Marketplace conferences brought hundreds of Christian businesspeople together who don't have many avenues to connect with others Godly leaders in business. Their goal: to strategically align pastors and Christian business leaders in developing nations for the cause of Christ in their nations.
It's a new way of looking at national business leaders as catalysts for the Great Commission. The strategy has been so successful in this region, that Global Advance is now planning a multiple-year strategy for equipping business leaders in Hyderabad and Visak, as well as other major hubs in India.
One tool used in the Marketplace Missions track is the Global Advance Business Institute. It's a series of high-level business seminars focusing on the areas of Marketing, Strategic Management, Financial Management, Human Resources, and Internet Technology.
Global Advance has obtained the rights to a curriculum developed by top MBA professors to utilize for these seminars. The first series of Business Institute seminars will be conducted in Douala, Cameroon, beginning in March of 2007. Teaching teams that go to Douala for the Institute will have full access to the curriculum which includes powerpoint presentations, teaching notes, and student workbooks.
In addition, the team has already sown seeds for new 'Kingdom Business Associations' to be established in each city. These will serve as a networking forum for ideas, ministry, discipleship and encouragement.
In addition, these networks will provide global connections with other Christian business leaders, as well as possible business opportunities and strategies.
Pray for upcoming Global Advance conferences. Aside from Cameroon, there are fourteen other conferences planned through the end of March in the nations of Thailand, Siberia, Liberia,Colombia, Tanzania, China, India, Peru, Pakistan, and Congo.
