Togo (MNN) ― The West African peace initiative for Togo may be succeeding. The rebels may join the national unity government to end the political crisis and violence.
As a result, Association of Baptists for World Evangelism teams are back at their posts. The hospital is getting back to normal with a long-time missionary surgeon arriving to help with the surgical needs. A pastor is also traveling with the surgeon to help with any trauma and counseling needs.
Please continue to pray for the pastors and Christians throughout Togo. Each event presents opportunities for sharing the Gospel with those who would not have otherwise been in contact with ABWE staff, pastors, or missionaries. The fact that the refugees are returning home is indicative of the calm and return to normalcy in most places.
